As the first year of The Mission draws to a close the three Nigerian Fathers continue their roller coaster ride of faith, dedication and culture shock. For the Tassie priests working with them and the communities they are reaching out to, there are inspiring surprises and even dangerous encounters in store.

Fr Felix joins volunteers working with Tasmania’s homeless and also starts to flex his muscles at a school camp, while Fr Christopher takes the plunge with swimming lessons as well as becoming a hit with the nurses at a hospital. Fr Kene flies off to a remote island in Bass Strait to celebrate Easter and has an unexpected encounter with Tasmania’s Aboriginal people.

As the Archbishop, and all the priests involved, gather to celebrate the one year anniversary of The Mission it’s clear that each one of the Nigerian Fathers are on a very different Tasmanian journey. But for the mentor priests they’re assigned to, there are more questions than answers, Year One into The Mission.
